You'll recognize Jirou right away once you get a glance of Hyotei's team, in it's regular environment. He's more often seen sleeping or groggy than hyperactive (which is the true nature of his personality). But sleeping is only a hobby. He's a dangerous opponent when it comes to tennis, despite that positive nature. Jirou is an expert at his Magic Volley technique - in which he can quickly change his wrist to any position (right as the ball is ready to make contact with the racket) in order to hit the ball in an unpredictable place. Taking his personality into perspective, he's probably one of the very few characters (if not, the only) who'll take loss with a positive attitude. He's not going to cry, emo, or beat himself if he's lost a match. Even though he's a heavy napper, he has a really upbeat, contagious personality (not to mention, one heck of a huge smile). He goes from groggy to jumpy in a matter of seconds - especially if he's seen a cool move. The Hyotei regulars seem to have alot of respect for Jirou, even if some think he's quite "inconsistant" - he has a wonderful arsenal of skills to pull on his opponents. And he's quite talented in what he specializes in.

Oh, I fail to mention that his tennis style was inspired by Marui. Marui is his idol. Uke.
